Christmas went off without a hitch. Kinga, aka “onherbike” made it to our house a couple days before the 25th. Her ride up from Florida just happened to be on one of the coldest days of the year. The skies were a crisp blue with the high temperature at the house being a -2°C, or 28°F. After 6 hours of riding, with the temp dropping I met her about 45 minutes from the house, half frozen. A blanket and a couple bowls of hot chicken noodle soup soon dispatched the chills.
We had some friends, Sam and Vilson, over to have a couple drinks with the three of us on Christmas Eve. The next day we hosted Christmas with Polly Marinova and Doug Wothke. We tried a smoked prime rib with a reverse sear. It turn out perfect with potatoes, and a Russian salad made by Polly. They also brought a pumpkin pie, decorated by Doug. It was a fun afternoon with some amazing stories floating around the table. Kinga is now in year 6 of her RTW ride, Doug has circled the rock 4 separate time, and Polly has traveled for many years.

A couple days later we rode over to Doug and Polly’s so Kinga could see their museum and extensive collection of old American motorcycles. The rest of the week was spent on us packing for our flight to Colombia.

We are in Medellin, Colombia as I write this. The motorcycle has been bought and is in the process of being registered. So follow us to see what we get up to this next couple months riding around Colombia, and what we will do with the bike.

Cheers

Not sure if you’ve been to Morocco, but it is definitely a wonderful place to discover on two wheels. We’ll be here for three months so we’re taking our time – It is pretty amazing! So far, we love it – so much different than Europe and better than Tunisia is a lot of ways.

We were on our way there when CoVid hit and closed everything down. Had to leave the bike in Portugal. Looks fantastic.
