Well, the election is over. We have a new president again.
I was told to wait. Watch. Be prepared for what was to come after the election. Some frustrated people stormed the Capital. It was definitely a mess, but the inauguration happened without incident.
It is now time to go. Some people will say it is irresponsible. Some will say go. I feel this is going to be the future. You can either live in fear or live your life. The people who know me know what I will choose.
So, with our 30 day Visas in hand, positive antibodies and negative CoVID tests we will board an Air France flight to Egypt. Tourism is down to next to nothing. That means no people around the sights. Good for us. Not good for the people of Egypt. They depends on tourism for their economy. Hopefully we will help while enjoying the hospitality of a truly kind, warm and wonderful people.

The house is coming along and very comfortable for us. Our son Dallas, and his family, visited us last weekend. Our first overnight guests. We had a wonderful time hanging out, playing dominos and smoking a brisket on the Pit Boss pellet smoker. The enormous hunk of beef was trimmed, seasoned and smoked to perfection for 18 hours. I think it turned out perfect because of all the moaning from the sampling as I was cutting the finished product.
Stay tuned for stories and pictures of Egypt. We leave Thursday night and arrive early Saturday morning.
Until next time…
Cheers,

BTW, we just received an invite to stay with a family our first few days there. Such kindness…
Safe (and happy) travels!
