Tuesday. July 15. The day is here.
It’s time to roll on the bike for another few months. We are sitting in Atlanta waiting for our flight. Today we will be flying into Lisbon, Portugal. My motorcycle is safely stored with my good friend, Ricardo. A day or two to get ready and we will be heading north to Santander, Spain. We will first travel east, riding through the beautiful Serra da Estrela Nature Park in Portugal. From there we will wander north through the Douro River Valley. Then through the Pauque National de los Picos de Europa in northern Spain.
The ferry will leave in the evening and then on to Plymouth, United Kingdom. Over the next 6 weeks we will attend two motorcycle overland events in the UK and speak at one of them. Along the way we will see and ride with many friends from the UK, AU, USA, PL and other countries. Plus, a biker festival in Poland with a good friend and well-known moto-traveler. Then on to explore more of the EU that we haven’t ridden in yet.
It is setting up to be an exciting few months so stay tuned for the upcoming blogs.
