After a quick, inexpensive flight to Sofia, Bulgaria, we met our driver. His taxi had definitely seen better days. We could barely manage 80 km/h without feeling like the whole thing was about to rattle itself apart. At one point we were even passed on the right by a lorry.

Our friend Gina Marie (@twowheelstwofeet) had flown into Sofia the day before, so she hitched a ride with us. Eventually, we rolled into MotoCamp Bulgaria, where several friends were already waiting for the start of Horizons Unlimited Bulgaria. It didn’t take long before the stories, laughter, and cold drinks started flowing.

For the next several days we caught up with old friends, made plenty of new ones, and enjoyed evenings filled with presentations from travelers sharing their adventures from every corner of the world. Kinga (@onherbike) was also in attendance with a couple of her Polish mates. As always, the event was a huge success.

Please enjoy the following photo dump. Some of these photos were taken by Melanie and me, while others were shamelessly pinched from around the internet.

After HU Bulgaria, we spent another week wandering around Albania before pointing the bikes toward our next adventure. That’s a story for the next post.

Cheers,

2WANDRRs
