Well, yesterday was Halloween and my last day of work at Desert Valley Hospital. It seems the business aspect of health care got in the way of my working there and they said goodbye. Well, actually they didn’t say anything, but nothing personal.
Today was a new day and Melanie’s birthday so we spent the day packing and getting ready for our trip tomorrow to Honolulu. Yeah, vacation. It is much needed as our last day off was 5 weeks ago at Horizons Unlimited in Yosemite.
Leaving HU and all of our friends, and watching several start their adventures and several others continue on their multi year adventures is difficult as I want nothing more than to follow along and be on the road, passport in hand. Luckily we have social media so following along and seeing all the wonderful places they visit is just a click away.
Someday soon the long adventure will be ours so we will continue to work towards that goal while we enjoy our current fantastic life and our shorter epic, to us, adventures.
Meanwhile I will wait for the next employment door to open and get ready for our morning flight.
